Polyphonic synthesizers have long been the ultimate in electronic music making, with early incarnations costing thousands and taking up huge spaces in the studios of the 1980s. The TSynth has just been released, and is one such polyphonic synth which looks and functions like a polyphonic monster at only a fraction of the price and size!
The TSynth is a Teensy-based DIY synth kit which has 6 note polyphony coming from two oscillators, with PWM (Pulse Width Modulation), a pitch envelope, two LFOs, Ring Modulation and a stereo chorus! It also allows you to save and recall patches, so your beloved sounds can be saved to internal memory, and you’ll find the full list of features on the TSynth product website.
The TSynth comes in PCB form, meaning you’ll need to source the components and an enclosure to fully complete the build. Note: You’ll need the Teensy version 3.6 as the processing power behind the TSynth, the latest version is being worked on.
