The Nerve Center of Your Modular Rig!

Every modular system needs a place to bring all the bleeps and bloops together, to make a happy sonic family. The Nerve Center is a simple, adaptable example of a DIY mixer with 4 inputs and only 10HP of eurorack real estate required. If you’re new to soldering, and need a mini mixer, this is an ideal starter kit, so lets take a look at what it’ll do!

This mixer has 4 mono inputs or 2 stereo inputs, depending on what you need – providing a single or double mixed output. Control panned signals, individual instruments or CV signals – giving rise to the merging of a wide range of modular goodies. The individual output volumes are attenuated by four faders, and each channel can be muted – indicated by a little LED on the channel fader.

The mixer has a 1:1 gain ratio, but this can be adjusted by replacing some of the resistors – more information will be provided by the seller. The kit comes with all the PCBs, connections and components you need to make a finished mixer, with comprehensive build instructions available from their website – there are 3 PCBs and around 50 components to solder.

The Nerve Center is made by CCTV who are based in Canada. Check their shop for more musical products!
