The Aconno ACD52840 development board is astonishingly feature rich. The onboard ACN52840 module features an ARM® Cortex®- M4F CPU with ARM TrustZone® CryptoCell for fast and secure processing. Bluetooth 5 enabled, it has an in field range of 1300 meters whilst maintaining an incredible power efficiency. The Aconno ACD52840 is compatible with ANT, Thread, Thread Mesh, and Zigbee protocols or your own 2.4GHz system.
It’s packed with useful features and MEMS sensors. The E-paper display allows for efficient graphical interfaces which, in combination with the small joystick, are perfect for making menu systems. Other methods of notifications to the user are possible including standard LED’s, a piezo speaker for tones and simple tunes and an RGB LED.
There are interfaces for attaching NFC reading and writing hardware making it potentially useful for card access or payment systems. An IR transmitter is useful to interface with other equipment as remote control. Two servo channels are broken out to receive standard servo leads and there are also two 60V capable relays for driving external systems.
Sensor wise it has temperature, an LDR for light level measurements, and a 9 degrees of freedom gyro. Aconno have also thoughtfully included an onboard potentiometer which is useful in emulating analogue signals during development. For development the ACD52840 has a standard J-Link interface and is compatible with the mBed or Keil environments.
All wrapped up in a board that is around the size of a credit card the ACD5280 is on sale from today until December 6th reduced from $156 to $117 as part of the Cyber Sale.
