There are a number of essential modules when setting up your eurorack: you’ll need some VCOs to make the noise, some VCAs to give the noise an amplitude curve, maybe a filter to sculpt the resulting sound, and finally, an LFO to give the sounds some movement. This BLM Mini Digital LFO is ideal for modular owners with small setups, as it weighs in at only 2HP and covers all of your low frequency oscillation needs (and high frequency oscillation, as it goes!).
This attractive little LFO is sold as a completed unit and comes with a massive 16 waveshapes for signal sending – each with their own switch to change between normal and alternative waveforms. Also on board are controls for rate, a reset switch, an 180 degree flip switch and a frequency tune knob for minute changes. It has external inputs for LFO reset, gate and trigger, as well as an audio input for FM modulation and an output for the LFO itself. It will oscillate at high frequencies too for some metallic audio feedback!
